October kicked off Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) and Month. MFG Day is an initiative of the National Association of Manufacturers and the Manufacturing Institute that engages policy makers, manufacturing companies, businesses, parents, teachers and students of all ages to highlight the realities of modern manufacturing careers. Walmart continues to be a proud sponsor of, and participant in, the Manufacturing Institute’s MFG DAY and Creators Wanted campaigns as well as the presenting sponsor of the MI’s Government Official toolkit. In addition to being a leading authority on manufacturing industry research, issues and trends, the Manufacturing Institute’s MFG Day and Creators Wanted campaigns are accessible platforms to tell stories about the exciting opportunities modern manufacturing careers provide and raise awareness around one of the most pressing issues facing the industry today: workforce pipeline.
