What is Open Call?
Open Call is an action packed one day virtual event. Walmart welcomes suppliers to virtually pitch product that is shelf ready and made, grown or assembled in the United States. Everyone looks forward to joining over 1,000 energetic entrepreneurs from across the country. The inspiration through newness and innovation is outstanding and leaves everyone motivated to grow U.S. jobs and increase U.S. manufacturing. Check out the recap from our 2020 event:
Why does Walmart have an Open Call event?
We believe that supporting American products and American jobs makes sense for our customers, our community and our company. In March 2021, Walmart announced a $350 billion investment in the future of U.S. Manufacturing that will support more than 750,000 new American jobs.1
With this new 10-year goal, Walmart is strengthening its commitment to American jobs and communities and providing more value to our customers. But the impact goes beyond the additional spend on items that are made, grown or assembled in the United States.
Our Open Call underscores that commitment and helps us make a difference on an issue our customers care about.

May 21 – Accepted Suppliers are notified
June 30 – Event Day
